Honoring Service, Empowering Youth, and Sharing the Thanksgiving Table
On November 3, SBi Giving participated in a historic celebration honoring Native American veterans at Navajo Technical University in Crownpoint. The event included a formal proclamation declaring the Navajo Nation a Purple Heart Nation, recognizing generations of Native warriors who have served and sacrificed for our country.
As event sponsors, the SBi Giving team provided lunch and served grilled hamburgers to veterans and their families. Team members spent meaningful time listening to veterans’ stories and capturing their experiences, which were later shared through a tribute video to amplify recognition and gratitude across the region.
Diné Bike Project: Expanding Access Through Movement
Continuing its commitment to youth wellness and outdoor recreation, SBi Giving supported the NavajoYES Diné Bike Project by transporting more than 50 donated bicycles from Phoenix-area bike drives to Beclabito.
At the NavajoYES bike yard, the bikes are repaired, restored, and redistributed to local youth and families. This effort supports healthy movement, outdoor exploration, confidence, and greater access to recreational opportunities.
Operation Turkey: Sharing Warmth at Thanksgiving
As Thanksgiving approached, SBi Giving launched Operation Turkey, surprising 20 families across the tribal communities served with complete Thanksgiving meal kits.
Each family received a full turkey along with traditional side dishes, ensuring a warm and abundant holiday meal for households facing financial strain, particularly those impacted by reduced SNAP benefits during the fall government shutdown.
Operation Turkey reflects SBi Giving’s ongoing commitment to lifting burdens, spreading kindness, and ensuring families feel seen, supported, and valued during the holiday season.
