Hózhó Elders Health Expo

SBi Giving proudly co-hosted the 2nd Annual Hózhó Elders Health Expo in Crownpoint, New Mexico—an inspiring gathering dedicated to honoring and empowering our Elders through health, movement, and culture. Nearly 200 Elders from area senior centers came together for a vibrant day of learning, connection, and celebration.

The event featured a special performance and heartfelt remarks from Loren Anthony, actor from the acclaimed series Dark Winds, along with traditional song and dance and a rejuvenating chair yoga session led by Haley Laughter. These activities celebrated the balance of mind, body, and spirit—key to the Navajo concept of Hózhó, or living in harmony.

Participants also enjoyed a nutritious lunch and explored a health and wellness expo featuring partners such as Indian Health Services, Just Move It, and other organizations promoting elder well-being throughout the Navajo Nation.

Events like the Hózhó Elders Health Expo reflect SBi Giving’s ongoing mission to invest in community wellness and cultural vitality, ensuring that our Elders—keepers of wisdom and tradition—are supported, celebrated, and surrounded by care.
