Indigenous Yoga Tour Brings Free Wellness & Cultural Healing Across the Southwest
This spring, the SBi Giving proudly launched one of its most culturally powerful and community-centered wellness initiatives to date—the Yá’át’ééh to Yoga! Indigenous Yoga Tour 2025. In collaboration with renowned Diné yoga instructor Haley Laughter and her organization, Hozhó Total Wellness, this six-week tour is bringing free, high-impact yoga experiences and holistic wellness tools to Indigenous communities across the Four Corners region.
A Tour Rooted in Healing, Culture, and Connection
Kicking off at the Navajo Nation Museum in Window Rock, Arizona, the tour weaves through tribal lands and key urban centers—including Hopi, Zuni, Fort Apache, Farmington, Santa Fe, Albuquerque, and Phoenix—creating access to yoga and mindfulness where it’s needed most.
Each stop is an immersive, one-of-a-kind practice where movement and sacred space meet to help participants stretch, breathe, and heal. Haley and her team lead Níłchʼií (sacred breath) sessions, empowering attendees to regulate their nervous systems and reconnect to ancestral/inner knowledge through intentional breathwork.
Wellness, Empowerment, and Tools for Transformation
This isn’t just yoga—it’s a full-body, full-circle experience designed to foster resilience, support emotional well-being, and celebrate Indigenous identity. Free yoga mats are gifted to participants (first come, first served).
In partnership with Cellular One, the tour also integrates digital wellness access. At select events, qualifying attendees can receive free smartphones, along with training from Digital Navigators on how to access fitness apps, virtual yoga classes, and health tools that support an ongoing wellness journey.
A Platform for Future Indigenous Yoga Teachers
Beyond the workshops, attendees have the chance to explore the Indigenous Yoga Teacher Certification Program, designed by Haley to blend traditional Indigenous knowledge with modern yoga practice. It’s part of her broader vision to seed culturally rooted wellness leaders in tribal communities across the U.S.
As Haley shares, “Yoga is ceremony. It’s a way to honor our ancestors while building strength—physically, mentally, and spiritually—for future generations.”
A Shared Mission for Holistic Health
The SBi Giving is honored to help bring this tour to life. It’s a reflection of our shared mission: to uplift Indigenous communities through culturally resonant wellness, education, and empowerment. By supporting initiatives like this, we’re not just funding events—we’re investing in sustainable healing and community transformation.
